Holiday hiatus
I know I haven't been around a lot, and I've definately lacked lately in visiting your guys blogs, but once I'm back from my holidays I'll catch up! I'm leaving saturday for a week to Meaux, France. I'm going camping with 4 of my friends, and I'm really excited for it. We're definately going to visit Paris for a day as we are really close by the city, and further...We're not sure yet, but we'll for sure have a blast.
Talk to you all, soon!

Color Run @ Zwolle
You would say that summer holidays allow me to blog more, but I've found myself less behind my laptop than when I don't have holidays, for the very simple reason that I already spend so much time behind it for my studies. Anyway, I'm back with a little update on the Color Run in which I participated in the city of Zwolle on the 7th of July. For those who don't know the Color Run is a colourful running event for a good cause.
I have to say we had a very good time, even though it was about 30 degrees celcius, so it was a bit too warm to run the full 5k. Secretly, the most fun part was travelling back by train for nearly 4 hours, all covered in the bright coloured dust. The looks we got from bypassers....hihi. Below one of the promotion videos so you get an idea of what the day looked like!

Back home & The Philosophers trailer
Hi guys! I'm back from Germany from the Vampire Diaries convention. Alright I've been back since early monday morning, but I've been swamped with catching up with work ever since. I'll promise to write a blog about it soon, but it takes quite some time to compile that one, so bear with me. In the mean time, check out the trailer below of the movie The Philosophers. Seriously, this movie looks sooo good!

Tag: 99 things
I came across the 99 things tag via the blog of AnneSolveig and had so much fun reading it, that I've published it here now as well. The things that are bold are the things I've actually done/visited/experienced. Feel free to copy the tag!
1. Set up your own blog - Guess this one answers itself right?
2. Having slept under the starry sky
3. Played in a band
4. Visited Hawaii
5. Seen falling meteorites
6. Spend more on a good cause than you could actually afford
7. Visited Disneyland - 2x Disnelyland Paris
8. Climbed a mountain - No Hymalya or anything, but I did have my share of hiking through the Pyrenees.
9. Held a grasshoper

Tag: First Time
I came across this tag via Annelie and decided to have a go at it myself. Anyone who feels like filling out the tag, of course feel free to take it. So let's start and maybe you learn something new about me.
First thing you do when you wake up in the morning.
Turn my alarm off and slid out of bed, I happen to wake up rather easy in the morning, lucky me I know. I mostly quickly check my phone to see if I have any new messages and so on and then have breakfast.
First thing you do when you go to the gym.
Fill up my water bottle and then I'll start with cardio first. It varies what kind of cardio I do first, but most of the time you will find me first on the stepping machines.
First thing you do when you return from school or work.Grab something to drink and sit down for a while watching TV or read a book, though when I return late from school the first thing I'll do is making dinner ;).

Friends, Movies & Snow
Photo shot on 10-02-2013
Last weekend (friday, saturday, sunday) I spend the weekend over at a friend's house, at Annelie. Hence, the reason why my blog was a little quiet over the past weekend. Anyway, it was a lovely weekend, one for the simple reason that we don't see each other that often and two because we are just two utterly crazy (fan)girls when we're together. Now what did we do over the weekend? First thing that had to be done was catching up on the newest episode of The Vampire Diaries, but unlike last time that she came over to me, we didn't actually linger the rest of the weekend on TVD episodes ;). But we did spend a good time on watching movies, namely Pitch Perfect, Hugo and Angels Crest (Reviews to be expected soon). Furthermore we went into town, where I only bought one book, nothing more, wooh! We also shot a couple of photos for new blog posts for both of our blogs, so stay tuned.
All and all it was a really lovely weekend, and a great start for my one week holidays, before my new semester starts on the 18th again. As for the snow part. A little less happy about the foresight of having a lot of snow again, but it turned out to be less snow than predicted at least.

A day out of the life of...
I've been quite busy lately, and that mostly with college life. I thought it wasn't very intresting to keep all of you bothered with it on a regularly basis, but I've decided to dedicate one blog to it anyway. I'll describe a day out the past week, which can basically be multiplied times 5 and you have an idea of how this whole week looked/looks like (the weekends are slightly different, but include unfortunately right now a lot of school work as well). The same most likely will go for the next two weeks.
7:15 - 7:30 Alarm rings and me hopping out of bed; normally it doesn't include all too much snoozing. I'm fairlsy soon awake.
7:30 - 8:30 Breakfast, getting dressed and biking to school; stereotyping Dutch people here: I do bike to school every day.
8:30 - 12:30 Either lectures or start of project work; we have 10 weeks projects where we do research and analyse the market for a (real) hotel right now. Lots of fun, but also a lot of work.
12:30 - 13:00 Mostly about this time we take some time to have lunch; college students need to eat too right?
13:00 - 16:00/17:00 Project work; depending on how much we (still) have to do we spend the rest of the afternoon on project work as well.
17:00 - 18:00 Somewhere about here I'll be starving as I don't eat to much for lunch normally as the canteen at school is crappy expensive
18:00 - ... I'll spend the rest of my evening on working for my French classes or study for my upcoming exams (combined with fun skype conversations inbetween)
So there you have it, my currently not all too excited life. A lot of time goes into my exams right now. Next week friday I have my first one and the week after that the rest will go down, besides French which is the monday after that week. Of course, I do fun things as well, don't worry. I'm not that bad on myself. Tonight I'll be heading off to a friend for a drink as she will be leaving next weekend for 6 months to study in Spain.
P.S. I'm trying to line up some blog posts now and then when I have the time, to assure the blog keeps up and running while I'm busy with school. Any suggestions on what you want to read more about (Personal life, books, music, movies, fashion other things?), let me know!

Christmas: The Dinner Edition
Hope everyone had an amazing Christmas, whether you spend it with friends, family, or by just watching (very lazy hihi) nice movies and stuff. One of the things I always do every year, mostly on First Christmas Day (Yeah here in The Netherlands we actually have 2 days, kinda like Boxing Day), is preparing dinner together with my dad.
This year we settled for a three course dinner. The starter was a platter with different kinds of antipasti, namely bruchetta, grilled asparagus, tomato/mozarella/basil sticks, pineapple, different kinds of meat, and olives.
As a main course we had a fillet of beef with Stroganoff sauce, Brussels sprouts, haricots verts and Pomme duchesses.
For dessert we made Creme Brulee, delicious!
I'll do a blog on fashion related to my Christmas as wel ;) As for now, any of you who prepared dinner themselves, went out for dinner or anything else worth sharing? Let me know in the comments!

Happy Holidays!
Credit of the picture goes to the rightful owner
Merry Christmas everyone! I know it is a little late, but as the country where I live, we celebrate 2nd Christmas day as well, but for everyone who doesn't, Happy Holidays anyway. I know I've been a bit quiet on here lately, but that was due to extreme amounts of work for college and of course now celebrating Christmas. Will make up to it soon!
